Journey to Peru
Travel Through the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu & Cusco With Indigenous Shamans of the Andes
May 8–16, 2027 · 9 Days / 8 Nights
There are places you visit.
And then there are places that seem to call you.
Journey to Peru is an intimate spiritual and cultural immersion through the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco, with the extraordinary opportunity to travel alongside Indigenous shamans and experience the living spiritual traditions of the Andes.
Rather than simply learning about these traditions from the outside, our small, intimate group will have opportunities to experience authentic ceremony, traditional teachings, sacred rites and initiations, and private individual sessions with the shamans throughout our journey.
We'll also experience some of Peru's most extraordinary cultural and sacred places, including Ollantaytambo, Pisac, Moray, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Sacsayhuamán, while staying in carefully selected luxury accommodations.
This is intentionally a small, intimate group, allowing for personal connection, meaningful experiences and access that would be impossible on a traditional large-group tour.
Estimated Investment: $5,450 per person, based on single occupancy
Who You'll Be Traveling With
You're Not Simply Visiting Peru. You're Being Invited Into an Experience.
One of the things that makes this journey so unusual is who you'll be traveling with.
Throughout our time in Peru, we'll have the opportunity to travel with Indigenous shamans who carry spiritual traditions and teachings that have been passed through generations.
This isn't a performance created for tourists.
It is an opportunity to respectfully experience living spiritual traditions through relationship, ceremony and time together. Depending upon the final itinerary, experiences will include opportunities for:
- Authentic ceremony with Indigenous shamans
- Traditional spiritual teachings
- Sacred rites and initiations
- Private individual sessions with the shamans
- Ceremony and teachings at sacred locations
- Understanding the Andean relationship with the natural world
- Experiencing the principle of Ayni — sacred reciprocity
- Time for personal reflection, questions and integration
- Traveling, sharing meals and spending meaningful time together as a small group

This Is Not a Trip - It's a Return to Something Deeper
There are certain places in the world that seem to reach you before you ever arrive, places where the landscape itself carries a kind of quiet intelligence, and where something within you begins to respond the moment your feet touch the ground.
Peru is one of those places.
The mountains do not feel like scenery, and the ruins do not feel like history. Instead, everything holds a presence that invites you to slow down, to listen more closely, and to begin noticing what has been waiting beneath the surface of your everyday life.
This journey is not about exploring something new as much as it is about returning to something that has always been there within you, simply waiting for the right environment to be felt again.
You are not visiting the shamans for a moment. You are walking alongside them.
Over time, that relationship becomes part of the transformation itself - within a small, intimate group that leaves room for it.
A Fully Immersive Experience with the Shamans
With the shamans, every day.
From the beginning of the journey, you are not stepping into a schedule of events - you are stepping into an ongoing, shared experience with the Q'ero shamans that unfolds over time.
You will be with them each day, not only during ceremony, but while walking through sacred sites, sitting together in quiet moments, and allowing the experience to deepen naturally without needing to force anything.
Because of this, the work does not happen all at once. It builds.
You begin to feel more comfortable. More open. More aware of subtle shifts that you might not have noticed otherwise. This is what allows the experience to become deeply personal.

Private Sessions
A Journey That Can Also Become Deeply Personal
While many experiences will happen together as a group, participants will also have opportunities for private sessions with the shamans.
These individual experiences create space for more personal exploration, guidance, healing and ceremony based upon what is unfolding for you during the journey.
This is one of the reasons we are intentionally keeping the group small.
We don't want this experience to feel anonymous or rushed. We want there to be space for each person to have their own relationship with Peru and their own experience of the journey.

Rites, Ceremony & Initiation
Experience a Living Spiritual Tradition
Throughout the journey, participants will have opportunities to experience authentic Andean ceremony, rites and initiations shared by Indigenous shamans.
These aren't simply activities added to a travel itinerary.
They are part of a living spiritual tradition and will be approached with respect for the people, lineage and culture from which they come.
No previous experience with shamanism, ceremony or spiritual practice is required.
Come with curiosity. Come with respect. Come with an open heart.

Sacred Sites of the Andes
Entering the Energy of the Land
Each location you visit throughout the journey carries its own distinct energy, and rather than simply moving through them as destinations, you are guided to experience them more fully - physically, emotionally, and energetically.
After each visit, you return to ceremony with the shamans, where the experience is given time to settle and integrate, allowing what has opened within you to become something you can actually carry forward.
Sacred Site
Pisaq
Temple of the Falcon
High above the Sacred Valley, the ruins of Pisaq stretch across the mountainside in a way that immediately shifts your sense of perspective. As you walk the terraces and look out across the valley, there is often a natural sense of clarity that begins to emerge, as if you are able to step back and see your life from a wider, less reactive place.

Sacred Site
Ollantaytambo
The Living Incan City
Unlike many archaeological sites, Ollantaytambo is still very much alive, with its ancient stone structures integrated into the rhythm of everyday life. The scale and precision of the stonework create a strong sense of grounding, often helping people reconnect with stability, strength, and a feeling of being more centered in themselves.

Sacred Site
Moray
The Sacred Circles
The circular terraces of Moray descend into the Earth in a way that feels both unusual and deeply symbolic. Many people experience this site as a place of transformation, where patterns begin to surface gently, and there is a natural readiness to let go of what no longer feels aligned.

Sacred Site
Maras Salt Mines
The salt pools of Maras shimmer across the mountainside, fed by natural springs that have been used for centuries. There is a subtle but powerful sense of cleansing here, where the environment itself seems to support the release of emotional and energetic weight without effort.

Sacred Site
Quillarumiyoq
The Moon Temple
This sacred site, aligned with lunar cycles and carved directly into the stone, carries a quieter, more inward energy. It often invites a deeper connection to intuition, stillness, and the ability to trust what you feel without needing immediate explanation.

Sacred Site
Tipón
Temple of the Waters
At Tipón, water flows through carefully designed channels that have remained intact for centuries. The movement of water here often mirrors an internal shift, where emotions that have been held in place begin to move again in a way that feels natural and supported.

Sacred Site
Sacsayhuamán
The massive stone structures at Sacsayhuamán rise above Cusco with a presence that is difficult to describe until you stand among them. There is a sense of scale, history, and connection to something much larger than yourself that often brings both perspective and a deeper sense of grounding.

Returning to Ceremony and Integration
What makes this journey different is not only the places you visit, but the way each experience is integrated.
After time spent on the land, you return to the shamans, where ceremony allows the energy of what you've experienced to settle into your body and awareness. This is where the work becomes more than a moment - it becomes something you begin to understand, feel, and carry forward.
Machu Picchu - A Pilgrimage Experience
When you finally walk in.
Your journey to Machu Picchu begins aboard the Vistadome train, where the landscape unfolds around you through wide glass windows, allowing you to stay connected to the environment rather than separate from it.
You arrive in Aguas Calientes, where you spend the night before entering Machu Picchu the following morning. This pause creates space for the experience to slow down and deepen, rather than feeling rushed.
When you finally walk into Machu Picchu, it is not simply a visit - it often feels like a moment of alignment, where something internal becomes clear in a way that is quiet, steady, and lasting.

Not everyone is called to this journey. And that is exactly as it should be.
A small, intimate group is only meaningful if it's the right group.
This Journey Is For You If…
You feel a genuine pull toward something deeper - even if you can't fully explain it yet.
You are open to stepping outside of your daily routine and into an experience that is both spiritual and grounded, where transformation happens through presence, relationship, and time rather than force.
You value:
- Depth over speed
- Meaningful experiences over busy itineraries
- Personal transformation over passive travel
You are comfortable in a small, intimate group setting, where the experience is shared but still allows for your own process, your own space, and your own rhythm.
You are seeking:
- Clarity in your life direction
- Emotional or energetic release
- A deeper connection to yourself
- A more grounded and authentic spiritual experience
You don't need to have all the answers. You simply need to be willing to show up and allow the experience to meet you where you are.
This Journey May Not Be the Right Fit If…
You are looking for a large group tour or budget travel experience with a fast-paced schedule and a focus on sightseeing. This is not that.
This is a luxury, bespoke, and highly intentional journey, designed with care, access, and depth in mind. The pace is slower, the group is small and intimate, and the focus is on quality of experience rather than quantity of activity. On this trip, every room is single occupancy, to allow for integration and rest.
You prefer a highly structured environment where every moment is planned and predictable to maximize sightseeing. While the journey is guided, it also allows space for things to unfold naturally, which means some elements may shift based on the group and the energy of the experience.
You are seeking a retreat centered around plant medicine ceremonies. This journey does not include plant medicine. The work is grounded in the Q'ero lineage of energy healing, ceremony, and relationship with the land.
However, if you are personally interested in exploring plant medicine outside of this experience, we can offer trusted resources and referrals upon request.
You may want to carefully consider this experience if:
- You are not comfortable with moderate physical activity, including walking on uneven terrain, stairs, and extended time on your feet
- You have significant mobility limitations that could make accessing certain sacred sites challenging
- You have underlying health concerns - particularly related to the heart or respiratory system - that may be impacted by high altitude
- You are not in a place where you feel ready for emotional or personal reflection, as this type of work can naturally bring deeper thoughts and feelings to the surface
This journey asks for a level of presence - physically, emotionally, and mentally - and is best experienced when you feel able to meet it with awareness, self-responsibility, and care for your own well-being.
A Different Kind of Experience
This is not designed for everyone - and that is intentional.
It is designed for those who are ready for:
- A more refined and intimate experience
- Direct access to the shamans
- A slower pace that allows real change to occur
A Final Thought
If you are looking for something casual, this may feel like too much.
If you are looking for something meaningful, intentional, and deeply personal…
This may be exactly what you've been searching for.
The details matter. So does what you already feel.
A few common questions, before you decide.
FAQ
About the Journey to Peru.
No, you don’t need any prior experience. Many people who join this journey are completely new to shamanic work. What matters more than experience is your openness - your willingness to be present, to observe, and to allow the experience to unfold without needing to control or fully understand it. You are not expected to “perform,” share, or participate in any way that doesn’t feel natural to you. Some people arrive with a deep spiritual background, while others simply feel a pull they can’t explain. Both are equally welcome here.
This is one of the most unique aspects of the journey. You are not meeting the shamans once or twice - you are with them daily, in both structured and unstructured ways. That means ceremony, yes - but also quiet moments, shared time, and an ongoing energetic presence that builds throughout the week. Because of this, the experience becomes more relational than transactional. You begin to feel trust. You start to notice things without needing explanation. The work unfolds over time rather than all at once. This is what allows for deeper transformation - there is space for things to open, shift, and integrate gradually.
It’s important to be honest here - the altitude can feel intense, especially when you first arrive. Cusco sits at over 11,000 feet, and many people experience some level of: Shortness of breath Fatigue Headache Light dizziness or a “foggy” feeling This is completely normal and part of your body adjusting. You are not expected to push through it. In fact, the opposite is encouraged. You will be supported in slowing down, resting when needed, staying hydrated, and listening to your body. Most people begin to feel better within a few days, but the key is to respect the environment rather than resist it.
There is a moderate level of physical activity involved. You will be walking through ancient sites, uneven stone paths, stairs, and natural terrain. Machu Picchu itself includes elevation changes and requires a steady pace over time. That said, this is not a race, and you are never pushed beyond your capacity. You are encouraged to go at your own pace, take breaks, and stay within what feels manageable for your body. If you can comfortably walk for extended periods and handle light to moderate physical activity, you will be able to participate.
There is no single answer to this - each person’s experience is different. Some people experience emotional release, especially if they’ve been carrying stress, grief, or unresolved experiences. Others feel a sense of clarity, calm, or reconnection. And some simply feel deeply rested and more present. Nothing is forced. The ceremonies, the land, and the time with the shamans create an environment where things can shift naturally - but always at a pace that feels safe and supported.
There is a thoughtful balance between structure and space. Each day includes planned experiences - ceremonies, site visits, or travel - but there is also time built in for rest, reflection, and integration. This is especially important given both the altitude and the depth of the work. You are not being rushed from place to place. The pacing is intentional, allowing you to actually absorb what you’re experiencing rather than just move through it.
Most Peru trips focus on sightseeing, with a few cultural or spiritual elements included. This journey is the opposite. You are in daily relationship with the Q’ero shamans, receiving ongoing guidance, ceremony, and energetic support. The focus is not on how much you see - it’s on what you experience internally as you move through these sacred places. It is immersive, personal, and intentionally designed for transformation rather than tourism.
The accommodations are carefully selected to provide both comfort and a sense of place. You will stay in high-end, thoughtfully chosen locations that allow you to rest and integrate the experience. In Cusco, this includes a stay in a historic Incan palace, where ancient stone architecture meets modern comfort. In the Sacred Valley and Aguas Calientes, accommodations are chosen for their proximity to nature, quiet atmosphere, and overall quality. This is not about luxury for the sake of indulgence - it is about creating an environment where you can fully relax and receive the experience.
The journey includes nearly everything once you arrive in Peru: Some Lodging throughout the trip Transportation within Peru Entry to Machu Picchu and sacred sites Guided experiences and ceremonies Group meals (primarily breakfast and dinner) Train travel to and from Machu Picchu You will need to arrange separately: International airfare Personal purchases or souvenirs Optional private healing sessions or spa services Travel insurance (highly recommended)
This is a small, intentionally limited group. The size is kept manageable to ensure that everyone has meaningful access to the shamans, as well as space for their own experience. It allows the group to feel connected without becoming overwhelming.
That’s actually very common. Many people don’t come with a clear reason - they come because something in them is responding. A curiosity, a pull, a quiet sense that this is something they are meant to experience. You don’t need to have it fully figured out before you go. Often, the clarity comes because you said yes.
The first step is to complete the interest form or schedule a discovery call. Because space is limited, this allows you to: Receive details as soon as dates are finalized Ask any personal questions you may have Explore whether this journey feels aligned for you This journey asks something of you. It asks you to step out of your routine… to trust the process… to allow something new to unfold. But what it offers in return is something rare: Space, guidance, and the opportunity to experience real change - not someday, but while you are there.
